Cocobeach

This was our favorite place on Moorea; it deserved it's own post!   I had read about Cocobeach before our trip, and it sounded pretty awesome, so we made reservations. Getting There  First off, you must have reservations ! Make sure you also book the boat shuttle. We took a taxi that our hotel called for us to the boat dock . Boats come every 30 minutes between 10 am and 1 pm. While you're waiting at the dock, you'll probably see some crabs digging holes in the sand and some black tip reef sharks in the water.   They bring you back to the same spot, leaving at 3 pm on weekdays or 4 pm on weekends, at the latest. A definite lunch spot while you have a car should be Snack Mahana ; make sure and order the poisson cru (Tahitian ceviche)! We also made a stop at the Rotui Juice Factory .     The best part of this stop was the juice tasting, some of which was alcoholic. Just seeing the island was pretty cool. We did a full lap around the island. Now, if I did this again, I'd skip the roadster and find a car with a/c! It was very hot dr
